Driving to Kangaroo Island
Driving to Kangaroo Island takes 1.5 hour from Adelaide to Cape Jervis through the Fleurieu Peninsula (107km). Allowing 2 hours from Adelaide prior to your scheduled departure will allow you plenty of time to take a break and not be in a rush. There are car parking options at the ferry pier but if you’re staying on Kangaroo Island for more than 72 hours we suggest parking at the kic Service Centre for long term parking ($5/day).

Shuttle Transfer between Long Term Parking and Ferry
A shuttle bus runs between the Cape Jervis long term car parking and the Cape Jervis ferry pier and is aligned with the Kangaroo Island ferry timetable. Bookings in advance are essential. Call 08 8598 0288 to book. The bus takes 5 minutes between the two points.
